Black Belts Karate Master my butt. Isn’t the manafacteurs happy they have made the whole martial arts socitey corrupt now you guys can jump off a mountain and shoot your self. I am a black belt without this piece of crap and say burn every single one of these cheepskape toys. Please people listen to a real blackbelt and don’t buy these. It has taken me 5 years to become a black belt not 30 MINUTES. For god sake plz burn the people who made this toy. Go to a real Karate Master. Not some guy on a video who doesn’t even know karate. Listen to me and take my advice. If anyone who makes this toy sees this go shoot yourself. DON’T BUY IT.

I agree with the reviews given to this “toy”. I myself learned TAE KWON DO. Martial arts teaches discpline, respect for others and yourself. Having this kind of “toy” would instill in a child wrong sense of self esteem and might use it to harm others that is why self-defense is taught by actual instructors to guide and condition them MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY.

I am not going to rate this toy on how well it works or how enjoyable it is. This product is a blatant attempt to make money at the expense of children and their unknowing parents. It is irresponsible, unconscionable and quite honestly dangerous. As a practioner of martial arts, I know for certain that it is not something to be learned merely by a video instructor who does not actually interact with the student. An on-hand instructor teaches how to prepare and warm-up for such and activity and can correct any mistakes. Yes one can and needs to practice by oneself to progress but without the initial basic personal lessons, injuries will and can occur. The video is called the “black belts karate home studio.” This is misleading. To get to level of a first degree balck belt in any style takes years at least, not just a forty-five minute video that has you practice on an inflated punching bag and a floor mat with a few foot positions mapped out. There is also the high possiblity that the child will think they are a black belt and now knows how to “fight.” This will result in the injury to the child and/or the person on which they try to use their “new skills.” Martial arts is a discipline not a game, toy or simple hobby to be picked up easily or lightly. Please think before purchasing this item for a child. If they are truly interested, take them to a cerified martial arts studio. Thank you.

Just because you are loosing students in your respective areas does not mean you need to blast a product or parents who buy it. My son loves this and I enjoy him getting 30 minutes of physical activity at home while I do dishes or laundry or even just have a few moments to enjoy myself. You KARATE nuts are just off your rocker and reinforce why I do not want my so to join a real karate class. I do not want a Stephen Segal for a son just a boy who had fun and a 30 minute work out.

Just to let you know the bag is EXTREMELY durable and the tape is fun and enjoyable. not ment for older kids but young ones it is a great work out throuhout the week.

I got this for my son for Christmas a few months ago…and within two weeks, it was ruined. The punching/kicking bag, will not keep air in it..and the DVD was so dorky! My son watched it 2 times and never again. He never plays with any of it. I would never buy this for anyone else..or any other products by this company. This is a crappy toy. Beware!
